VANISH is a Mac OS X horror survival game in which you must find your way through a sinister labyrinth while making sure that you stay far away from the strange creature that’s lurking in the shadows.
Use your wits to get out of a pretty dark situation
The VANISH plot line is fairly straightforward: you find yourself thrown into a labyrinth without a reason or an escape plan. As you roam around the gloomy corridors, you get to read notes exchanged between Hank and Phil that might point you in the correct direction.
All in all, the objectives are quite simple: get glow sticks to light your way around, find the keys, and get out without getting eaten by the strange creature that lurks in the corridors.
If, however, you two cross paths, try to outrun it because the meeting will not be pleasant. Unfortunately, your character gets tired while running and eventually slows down, which might prove to be problematic.
Start by customizing the game for best performance
Even though VANISH is quite a dark game, you have the possibility to adjust the brightness level in the settings so that you can at least see some parts of the corridors. In addition, you can change the screen resolution and the window mode, and adjust the sound level.
Moreover, VANISH offers you the possibility to modify the mouse sensitivity and invert the axis. Finding the best settings in this case is important because you get to explore your surroundings by moving the mouse around.
Challenging horror survival game featuring scary sound effects
The overall scary atmosphere within the VANISH horror game is pushed even further by the strange sounds that you hear around your: pipes break unexpectedly near you, and the low whispers don’t help very much either. All in all, you are in for quite the heart-stopping adventure.
